 Dearest Daughter or Son,

Never forget. Don’t you ever forget what countless men and women have given up so that you can be here. Don’t you ever take that for granted. And if you feel compelled, serve your country; joined the armed forces. I would be awfully proud of you. But even if you don’t and instead protest wars, always respect the men and women who have given life and limb for you. Even more, value those who have given pieces of their souls.
